The Early African American Residents
In 1960, the Levitt organization was ordered by the NJ Supreme Court to remove restrictive racial convenants from its deeds. The first African American residents began moving to Levittown in late 1960. On Nov. 8, 2008, a reception was held in honor of these African American pioneers.
