Celebrate Black History Month with a gala family program at Willingboro Public Library on Sat., Feb. 25 at 2 p.m. Featuring spoken word artists Charnette Phelps and storyteller Queen Nur, the gala is co-sponsored by Zeta Phi Beta sorority, Zeta Delta Zeta Chapter. “No Mystery in Black History” is the theme for this year’s gala. This program for all ages is free and open to the public. No registration is required. Refreshments will be served.

Feb. 1-29. Children in grades K-6, read any book by an African American author or about Black history or culture and enter your name in a prize drawing any time in the month of February in the Children’s Room.

 Leap Day Celebration- Wed., Feb. 29, 5:30 pm. Leap Day only comes once every four years – so kids in grades 5 and 6 are invited to hang out on this extra day for races, games, trivia and fun!

Meet Pinelands Preservation Alliance officials and members of the Willingboro Environmental C omm. on Sat., Mar. 3 at 2 p.m. at Willingboro Public Library and view an exhibit on the New Jersey Pinelands. This free program requires no registration. Refreshments will be served. The exhibit will be hung from Mar. 3-29. Pinelands Preservation Alliance is a private, non-profit organization dedicated to saving the Pinelands of New Jersey, using advocacy and education to involve the public and persuade government to protect the natural and cultural resources of this extraordinary region in New Jersey.
