Willingboro Public Library

The library will be closed Mon., May 27 in honor of Memorial Day. We will be open on Sat., May 25.

Young readers going into grades 1-12 are invited to Willingboro Public Library on Sat., June 22 from 2-4 p.m. to kick off the children’s summer reading programs. Participants will sign up, get their bookmarks and stickers, feast on frozen treats, and run through the sprinklers in the children’s reading garden. In case of rain, festivities will be held inside the library. “Don’t forget,” says head of youth services Sandi Cronce, “research shows that kids who read over the summer retain their academic skills for the next school year.” Summer reading club meetings will be held on Tuesdays, June 25-July 23 for grades 1-3, Wednesdays, June 26-July 24 for grades 4-6, and Thursdays, June 27-July 25, all at 2 p.m. Games, crafts, and reading prizes will be featured at meetings.

The Burlington County Sheriff's Office has co-sponsored art programs and book discussions with the library as well as teaching bike and gun safety, anti-cyberbulling and inspecting child safety seats. Thanks, Sheriff Jean Stanfield and deputies! See all our community partners of the month.
