Willingboro Public Library
will host the photography exhibit “Schools for the Colored” by Wendel A. White from June 6-30. White’s images of New Jersey’s segregated schoolhouses from the era before and just after World War II document the lost history of African American education in the state. Included in the exhibit will be the famous Bordentown School, subject of the award-winning documentary film “A Place Out of Time,” which will be screened at the library on Thurs., June 23 at 6:30 p.m. A post-film discussion will be led by film-makers Dave Davidson and Amber Edwards.
