Why do African Americans marry at a lower rate than other ethnic groups? This is the question raised by Is Marriage for White People?, Ralph Banks’s fascinating and controversial new best-selling book. Retired educator and Willingboro resident Lena Savage will help us explore these issues at Willingboro Public Library on Sat., Feb. 18 at 2:30 p.m. Register beginning Feb. 4 for this free program, which is open to the public. Lena Savage taught at Girard College for many years, with a specialty in technology and business education. She is a graduate of South Carolina State University and Antioch College, with a teaching certificate from St. Joseph’s University.
